I Lost...

So uh I started my skin care challenge yesterday like I told you.  And I'm giving you the update I promised and unfortunately my new is that...

        I GAVE UP!

I know I'm the worst but I have a good reason, and its that that program is the MOST PAINFUL THING! Like first of that Benzoyl Peroxide burns like a mofo, no joke though it actually really hurts.  I mean the guy said it would sting and make my face red but it really hurts and I am such a baby.  If it hurts that bad, say it with me, Deal-Breaker.  Of course I'll let you know my skin looks good today but i had to ice it yesterday, yes ICE IT! Crazy, so not worth it if you ask me.
I should delete the other post so you guys don't have to go through what I did but then I would have to delete this one too, and that isn't worth it either.

On a completely random note, its so weird writing this blog and seeing that people actually see it.  My pageviews actually just broke 300! It might not seem like that many but its certainly a start and means so much to me, I'm getting all sentimental.  So I would really love to start hearing from you all! I mean I know some people read the blog, and almost all of them look at the Army Pants and Flip Flops post, which is great but can't they just take a sec to read the other posts? I mean really.  Anyway, I know you guys are out there but I just wish it was more engaging, like I want you guys to be a bigger part of it.  Also golly my audience is rather wide spread hahaha I mean this week alone I've had views in the good USofA, UK, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Russia, Honduras, and Singapore. So multicultural hahaha.  If your feeling up to it give me a shout out in the comment box with where your from!

Skin Care

So I thought I'd let you all know the truth, I'm 15 and more often than not my skin sucks!  I'm also sure that you all face similar problems and before you lay down the bucks for Proactive, because Justin Bieber and Katy Perry told you it was straight up awesome, I wanted to let you know about the skin challenge I've just started.  Makeup artist Wayne G, youtube name: gossmakeupartist, swears by this program.  And it seems super simple, so what do you say worth a shot?

Here's what you need! go go list maker!

  1. Cetaphil face wash, I've actually always been a fan of this face wash.  It takes off makeup really easily and is so gentle especially around the eye area.
  2. Benzoyl Peroxide, woah woah woah that sounds intense and chemical and awful.  But no, check out pretty much any spot treatment and you'll find it in the ingredients.  I'm using a Clean and Clear one that I bought forevs ago.
  3. Moisturizer or sunblock, any kind works just be sure to have A LOT of it.
Daily Facial Cleanser

Ok, now that we have everything what do we do with it? Its actually really simple and I bet you can already guess but I love making lists for you guys...
  1. Wash your face thoroughly with the Cetaphil and gently pat dry, and actually listen to me when I say PAT DRY, I know how tempting it is to scrub and just go ape on your zits but don't anger them or else.
  2. Now take your index finger and apply the benzoyl peroxide all the way down it, this is how you know how much to use. Apply to problem areas and allow to seep in.
  3. Do some super moisturizing because that ishh dries your skin like no bodies business.
WARNINGS! Ahh it will initially make your skin really red and dry, possibly flaky.  Gross, I know but if you  last out an entire week applying twice daily and use tons of moisturizer your breakouts should just like stop.  After a week of twice daily you can take it down to once daily and continually decrease the amount of spot treatment you use until your skin only needs a teeny tiny amount to cease break outs.
I started today, I'll tell you guys how its going and if your inspired to do this with me post oodles of comments about how its working for you, the good and the not so good.  Its all appreciated.

So I Have This Theory...

Did Someone Mention Miley Cyrus?

What if I said no and ended the post right here? Its tempting honestly but... I couldn't bring myself to blog like in a week and for some reason you all seem to adore my Army Pants and Flip Flops post so I wanted to just give you something along the same lines.  It will be a quick post and I'm hoping to be struck by inspiration (hint hint comment!) and start to get into some new issues so ask questions, tell me about your favorite things, lets bond guys!

So getting on to the real deal, you all know my favorite movie Mean Girls and if you don't well then get out from underneath the rock you must be living under and go watch it. But actually it will change your life. Anyways, I would like to recount my adventures on the internet machine copyright Jenna Marbles to you,  I was roaming around the great unknown that is the internet when I found this:

I'm dying.  First off I would like to say that this is just mean, and Miley if that haircut makes you happy then we are happy for you <3 but uh.. well.. I can't lie, I see the resemblance.  So I guess if your ever thinking "gee I wonder what would happen if you mixed a little Can't Be Tamed, some Harry Potter and a smidge of Mean Girls" you can just refer to this and it becomes pretty clear.  And it looks very blonde.

While we are on the subject lets just play with celeb looks that are unfortunately similar to other stuff on the internet. Ok GO! Activate List Maker:

1. Obviously Tom Felton and Miley Cyrus, you guys have such wonderful golden locks?

2. Zoey Deschanel and Katy Perry, fun fact is that Katy is actually blonde but went brunette to "stand out," didn't account for Zoey did you?
Maybe its the bangs?
but not to worry because then Katy did this
Katy Perry two-toned hair A Part of Me Premiere
the purple hair helps us find her in a crowd... that and the bra that shoots whipped cream.

3) No words...
tina-fey-sarah-palin
except maybe Palin 20...uhm 16? I don't know man, and thank you Tina Fey for being wonderful and making Mean Girls the best movie. EVER.

4) Kiera Knightly and Natalie Portman, you mean to tell me you two are different people!?
keira knightley and natalie portman
Oh and thanks Natalie for making it impossible for me to sleep like a year after seeing the Black Swan, I appreciate it.  Kiera, I don't know where you've been girl but Pirates made my childhood.

5) And last but not least Kermit, a lovely Italian greyhound, and Snoop Dogg.  I wonder if he took the name because he looks like a dog or if he looks like a dog because of the name?
its uncanny really.

Oh and then there's this....

Finishing Touches

Last addition of the makeup series, or you know I think, God knows man I just can't make up my mind.  So as the last, or maybe last, piece of info I'll give you its how to put the finishing touches on that beauteous mug of yours.  List time! Yes siree lists, lists, lists here we go:

1) Blush: because if you ask Jenna Marbles people really like someone who's really red in the face. J to the K being that red in the face really isn't my jam.  But I do think a little rosy hue can do wonders for that look we've been essembling all week.  The key is to match your blush to your skin tone, check this picture by my inspiration LC (Lauren if your reading this I gotta say I am sorry for stealing pictures and ish from you but can we be best friends anyway? Like for reals though.)

TheBeautyDepartment.com-Best-Blush-For-Skin-Tones.jpg
couldn't have said it better my self.  Thanks Lauren, love ya.

2) Next its time for lips.  Pucker up! Decisions, decisions whay do we want for this look- lips stain, lip gloss, lip stick- AHH so many choices!  I mean first things first you must moisturize, chaps stick (preferably eos in mint YUM) it up.  Then after your lips have been prepped swipe on your favorite lip stain, good for all day wear; lip gloss, shiny and flirty; or go more sophisticated with a pretty lip stick.

3) Can't forget mascara.  Self explanatory, take it and put it on.  The end.  But rumor has it that if you put on one mascara, let it sit for a sec and then apply a different mascara. BAM! Full and voluminous, no falsies required, unless you want...

There you go! Gorgeous, and honestly it will take you longer to read every post on makeup than it will to put this all on.  Your going to look FAB!  Good luck and leave a comment if you have anything to add something you really like, share it with the world!

Everyday Eyeshadow

Because you don't live the night life...

This will be the third in my makeup series for those of you keeping count at home.  Its on eyeshadow because ladies we want to look  classy not like we belong in a sketchy part of town, on a street corner, at night, under a street light... catching my drift? And I guess if by chance that is the look your going for, well then good luck with that, your clearly making really good life choices.  So for those of us that aren't going for the look "street walker," when your applying makeup less really is more.
Don't give me that surprised look, yes I am talking to you!

But really, if you even remotely resemble that ^ your probably making some bad life choices.  I'm not saying you can't play up your eyes and have fun with color and sparkle so stop putting words in my mouth I mean right now I'm really into a really beauteous sparkly urban decay eyeshadow.  Its called 'the midnight cowboy rides again', *wink wink*-- I'm so sorry that was not appropriate. Don't blame me, I don't name the makeup, its those creeps at urban decay!
Urban Decay - Eyeshadow
but they sure make lovely champagne and silver sparkly eyeshadow. Just don't over do the sparkle or you may end up looking like your a twi-hard or a middle school girl. Which ones worse? I dunno.

What I'm saving in a really uninformative and unnecessarily long way is that pick a natural color and it can have a little sparkle in it. Then use a black eyeliner and wallah its fun and cute and flirty and not hooker-y in the least! Yay!

As for bright colors, uhh... well I would just say no.  Like drugs and alcohol at parties learn to just say no.  But I guess if you have to pop a color try purple.  I can sense the horrified looks but if you want to know the truth purple is flattering with every eye color,  it works really well on a lighter complexion. If you have a darker complexion, like middle eastern or even mediterranean (so like tanned skin tone but not too dark,) try a deep jem tone like emerald.  If your of a darker skin tone colored eyeliners really pop but if applied lightly can give just enough electricity to your look!

I would have a picture but for some reason my crappy computer refuses to load any at the moment so oh well.  I think you get the point.  Anyways, homework's calling and so I'll have to say goodbye.  I hope this is helping you out or at least making you laugh.  If it does neither your really need to re-evaluate yourself, do some soul searching and find out what the hell is wrong with you.  <3 just kidding. Or am I?
